Benefits of Nuts

Are you in need of an energy pick me up? Try a small handful of nuts when you need an energy lift. One quarter cup should do it. We know how easy it is to have a container of nuts in front of you and how 1 handful turns into 2 or 3 handfuls. Make sure to measure out your nuts because too many nuts may backfire on you.  

  • Nuts are a great form of healthy fat, protein, fiber, and antioxidants.
  • Nuts can lower cholesterol and triglycerides.
  • Nuts can even boost your immune system.

Raw nuts are the healthiest. Once roasted in oil, nuts lose their health benefits and may actually be harmful to your health.

Try to avoid peanuts. They aren’t actually a nut. Peanuts are a legume, which can cause inflammation.
